Walkable, authentic, and lively, Hilldale is the antithesis of the traditional mall experience. Boldly cutting an open-air corridor through an inward-focused '60's-era shopping mall took risk, but Hilldale is now a vibrant public space and a lifestyle hub. No longer vehicular-centric, Hilldale is a network of retail, restaurant, and residential embedded into an established neighborhood.
Landscape architectural services included concept design, custom furnishings, planting and hardscape design.

'The mews' brings open air, pedestrian-scale design to a refreshed upscale shopping experience. Careful consideration of multi-seasonal interest, tree canopy, and flexibility for outdoor programming are just a few of the many ingredients to this thriving community amenity.
